Today we went to the Chihuly Garden and Glass and the Space Needle. Both were spectacular. I encouraged Shari to buy a Chihuly piece she liked, but she wouldn’t do it. It was $7,000, but I would consider it an investment. Art like that will appreciate in value. She was afraid she would break it and it would be worthless. I understand her concerns.
The Space Needle was a spectacular views of Seattle. We had to wait in line about 30 minutes before we got on the elevator to go up. Once upstairs we went out on the viewing platform. There is 3 inches of glass that keep you from falling. Albert was funny. He stayed away from the edge unless I encouraged him. He didn’t seem to understand he couldn’t fall. Albert and Susie didn’t want to go one floor down to the rotating glass floor, so Shari and I went. It was interesting but I did not find it scary.
